The Pennsylvania Legal Services Black Caucus and several individuals, including Edie Benson, Carolyn Johnson, Debi Johnson, Linda Renick, and Phyllis Stevens, fondly known as the "Founding Mothers," worked together to make this program a reality.Įach summer, ten placements are awarded to first- and second-year law students at the legal aid organizations in our Network, where they gain valuable experience working with communities in need throughout Pennsylvania.
